After one year at the University of Oregon, she’s now transferring back to her home state to play for Coach Teri Moren and the Indiana Hoosiers!
Pepper Persley
Pepper Persley is setting the world ablaze. While sports journalism is her niche, she has already managed to land interviews with illustrious figures such as First Lady Jill Biden, Michelle Obama and the Black Panther himself, the late Chadwick Boseman—all before finishing the fifth grade. Persley loves researching, playing basketball and Marvel comics, but she is a shero in her own right, as a proponent of anti-bullying and for bringing awareness to her dream league, the WNBA. Thankfully for us, Pepper took a moment to step on the other side of the mic and talk about her incredibly inspirational journey!

Liz Honegger
Liz Honegger had an amazing NCAA basketball career, and has used that experience to become the Director of Basketball Operations for the women’s program at Indiana University!
Honegger, who played at Bowling Green State University, is a native of the Hoosier state and a former Indiana High School All Star. During her four years, the Falcons went 103-25 (.805), won the Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season title and conference tournament championship three times, while playing in the MAC tournament title game in each of her four years.
During her senior season in 2006-07, Honegger helped lead BGSU to a 31-4 record, including NCAA Tournament victories over Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt to account for the first Sweet Sixteen appearance ever by a MAC women's team. She was so essential to the team that she started in every contest of her career except the first one.
Honegger finished her college career as the school's record holder in 3-point field goals made (216) and blocked shots (188). She is the only player in NCAA Division I women's basketball history to hold both of those school career records at the same time. She was twice named second team All-MAC, was a two-time MAC All-Tournament Team selection and also earned Academic All-MAC distinction, which shows her dedication to sports and academics.

Betty Hart
Betty Hart is currently the President of the Colorado Theater Guild. She accepted the challenge to lead the Colorado Theater Guild in 2020 at a difficult time, when local theaters were closed, experimenting with outside performances and video productions, or cautiously reopening for in- person shows due to the Covid pandemic. As the Theater Guild’s President, an accomplished actress and director, Betty works to expand the footprint of the entire Colorado theater community in an inclusive and equitable way. She values collaboration from all that are interested in pursuing that goal.
She has garnered numerous accolades as an actress and director. Most recently she starred in the one woman play Acts of Faith at the Aurora Fox Arts Center and directed the musical “Once On This Island” at the Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton becoming the first Black female director in its 40-year history. Once On This Island garnered six Henry Award nominations. Just prior to that trailblazing accomplishment, Betty became the first Black female director in the 86-year history of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center’s theater program at Colorado College. Incidentally Evan was privileged to learn from Betty as part of the cast of Once on This Island.
